In recognition of its 50th Anniversary, JM Family Enterprises, Inc., a $15.1 billion diversified automotive company based in Deerfield Beach, made a $50,000 contribution to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Broward. “Words cannot express our thanks to JM Family Enterprises,” said Nancy Robin, CEO and executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Broward. “From building homes, to building teams, leadership, families, and communities, JM Family Enterprises has helped Habitat Broward transform countless lives. We feel blessed to be their partner.” JM Family began partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Broward in 2002 and helped the local affiliate achieve Gold LEED green certification in 2011. Currently, JM Family Enterprises’ South Florida associates are collaborating with the nonprofit to build four homes for hard-working, low income families in Broward. Scheduled for completion later this month, these units will represent the 32nd through 35th homes JM Family has helped construct throughout Broward County. Since 2002, JM Family associates in South Florida have committed nearly 23,000 volunteer hours to Habitat for Humanity of Broward. In addition, more than $2 million has been donated to the organization.
“As the spirit of giving back was instilled by our founder Jim Moran and continues to be an integral part of our culture at JM Family, we are thrilled to celebrate this major milestone by supporting causes that are near to our hearts,” said Colin Brown, chairman and CEO of JM Family. “Beyond monetary support, we believe in showing our commitment to the local communities where our associates live and work by donating our time and talents to help those in need. Habitat for Humanity of Broward is doing important work and we have been honored to support their efforts to improve the lives of South Floridians for the past 16 years.”
