A lifetime of reporting with Dan Rather
Investigative and Broadcast Journalist Dan Rather spoke to a sold-out audience at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, April 18, as the 2018 Broward College Speaker Series concluded. From politics, media, current events, and our country’s most pressing issues to inspiring words of wisdom on leadership, education, social justice, civic involvement and the importance of philanthropy, Dan Rather spoke from the heart and treated the audience to a memorable encounter. During the hourlong talk, Rather shared stories from his more than 60 years of reporting world events, news and political campaigns. Following his talk, he participated in a Q&A session moderated by Tom Hudson, Vice President of news at WLRN, where Rather answered questions from the audience. Dan Rather was the final of four distinguished speakers sharing their exciting experiences, perspectives and behind the scenes stories on current events topics for the 2019 Broward College Speaker Series.
