On May 4, nearly 500 women attended JAFCO’s 15th annual Mother’s Day Luncheon at the Polo Club of Boca Raton. The event raised more than $200,000 to help continue JAFCO’s mission of caring for abused and neglected children and those with developmental disabilities in South Florida. This year, Bernice Wenger was presented with the prestigious Woman of the Year award. Her philanthropic connection with JAFCO’s mission is based on personal experience as well as a deep love and sense of compassion for children who need her support and protection.
