DC SWIM WEEK WAS FIRST ESTABLISHED IN DC’S THRIVING METROPOLIS, BUT MOH DUCIS, FOUNDER OF DC’S NOW FASHION EXTRAVAGANZA, INITIALLY FOUND HIS INSPIRATION BEHIND THE SCENES OF INTERNATIONALLY-NOTORIOUS COMPANIES IMG MODELS, NY FASHION WEEK, AND OTHERS.
A growth platform in fashion and technology for independent designers around the world, the annual shows in Washington DC, Miami, and NYC provide one of the largest gatherings of top designers and innovators in swimwear and resort-wear fashion. On October 31st, DC Swim Week producers revived their swim week plans with a night of shows featuring over 15 designers such as local Miami label Syrena Swimwear and the Genesis Shows featuring Rick Sykes from Marrying Millions. The event featured a small guest list of editors and tastemakers at The Faena Hotel Miami Beach and was live streamed. The event provided a platform for younger and emerging swimwear designers to showcase collections to both a live and digital audience.
