The Aperol provides a lighter bitter grapefruit note to the floral take on a traditional Negroni. The subtle honeyed-citrus flavor of Lillet Blanc helps bring out the stone fruit flavors of Brugal 1888, making the rum’s vanilla, red fruit, toffee, and cocoa notes standout.
INGREDIENTS:
• 1 oz. Brugal 1888
• 0.5 oz. Aperol
• 0.5 oz. Lillet Blanc
• Dash peach bitters
• Garnish: grapefruit peel
PREPARATION:
First, combine all of the ingredients into a mixing glass, add ice, and stir until chilled. Next, strain into a rocks glass over large cube of ice. Finally, garnish the cocktail with a fresh grapefruit peel. Cheers!
