Spectacular Views, Freshest Seafood by the Waterway
South Florida’s most visited waterfront restaurant Blue Moon Fish Co. recently underwent a tremendous remodeling that now has its interior rivaling its Intracoastal view in beauty! Chef owners Baron Skorish and Bryce Statham delivered in wowing their loyal guests from all over the world with a sleek modern ambience. Dramatic lighting and gorgeous new flooring are just a few of the details that everyone’s raving about. Of course the menu got a sleek new look but still maintains its Blue Moon favorites. “We have been completely blown away by the positive response,” said Statham and Skorish, both agree it was worth closing for a month.
For a special treat on any given Sunday, Blue Moon Fish Co is the place to go for brunch. We relaxed outside, as beautiful boats cruised by, with breathtaking waterway views surrounding us. Where to begin is always the first question for a brunch of this magnitude. Some specials for Mother’s Day, subject to change, is the array of chilled salads to include Red and Gold quinoa blended with cucumber kimchee and mango, Kale Salad with sundried cranberries, pickled red onion, goat cheese tossed in fig balsamic vinaigrette or their wonderful Chunky Greek Salad loaded with cucumber, feta, red onion, kalamata olives in lemon vinaigrette. Moving on to the abundant raw bar full of Seasonal Oyster Selection with chili, malt and mignonette sauces, chilled Peel and Eat Texas Shrimp, as well as Fresh Fish Ceviche with citrus, peppers, onions and cilantro. Sweet Snow Crab Clusters are served with mustard sauce and drawn butter, while the Steamed Canadian Cove Mussels are irresistible with pancetta, roma tomatoes, garlic, lemon, white wine, fresh herbs and plenty of bread for soaking up the wonderful juices.
The rustic Tuscan Trattoria offers a selection of delectable pastas, and the Carving Board serves up Slow Roasted Rib of Beef along with Ground Filet Mignon Meatloaf with wild mushroom, cognac and cream sauce. It doesn’t stop there… there are even more selections from the special Chef prepared entrees that are brought the table. Of course, we couldn’t pass them up and enjoyed Blackened Mahi-Mahi and Charred Pineapple Habanero Jam with roasted cauliflower, haricot vert and fingerling potatoes while the Herb Roasted Salmon with crispy Brussels sprouts, butternut squash and pancetta was simply divine. Chicken Milanese with citrus butter, capers, bruschetta tomatoes and Parmesan mash reined supreme and the Super Lump Crab Cake with corn emulsion and scallions burst with flavor.
With room for a sweet treat we completed our fabulous brunch with creamy Crunchy Top Jamaican Crème Brulee, amazing White Chocolate Bread Pudding, decadent Liquid Center Chocolate Torte, as well as perfect Key Lime Pie as well as light, just to name a few. On the lighter side, there is always a bountiful selection of the chef’s selection of fresh fruit.
This picturesque, waterfront restaurant provides an unforgettable experience with irresistible fresh seafood and spectacular views. It’s the total package from the moment you walk in or dock your boat. With an ever-changing selection of wonderful specialties as well as many of the standard favorites, Blue Moon Fish Co is second to none. Bon Appétit…
