THE OSCAR CARVALLO PARIS RUNWAY SHOW STUNS CROWD AT BCC
The second largest fashion week in the United States is Miami Fashion Week, making it one of the most highly anticipated events of the year, especially for South Floridians. This is the third consecutive year that MIAFW presents resort collections from local and international designers, and it kicked off with a fabulous one on May 30th! Venezuelan-born designer Oscar Carvallo premiered his 2019 resort collection at Brickell City Centre, attracting celebrities, high profile fashion icons, and locals alike. Sitting front row was actor and Miami Fashion Week honorary president Antonio Banderas, as well as Miami’s fashion elite Martha Graeff, Claudia Vergara and Carolina Lindo.
Fierce models strutted down the runway, working with the dramatic lighting and fast-paced music to show off Carvallo’s work impeccably. The collection celebrated art, femininity, and nature, which could be seen in the red heart embellishments on some gowns and tops. There was even a model wearing a Metal Carvallo Heart Sculpture as a bustier—talk about breaking boundaries! At the end of the outstanding show, Carvallo stepped out onto the runway himself, where he was met with applause and admiration.
