Who knew an itty-bitty horse bit could be so charming? Someone at Gucci dreamt it, because the jewelry house has created a line of silver and gold jewelry that incorporates the horse accessory into its latest ensembles.

Gucci’s Horsebit Light Silver Jewelry and Horsebit Fine Jewelry were introduced in March at the world’s biggest watch and jewelry show, Baselworld 2014, held in Basel, Switzerland.

With the latest – and most stunning – extensions presented this year at Baselworld, the Horsebit jewelry family has grown, as with the newest Horsebit Light Silver collection, where the forms of the Horsebit take on new, more sculptural dimensions. Among the Horsebit Fine collections is a white gold and diamonds set, and a blue topaz parure, or complete set.

Also new this year is the Raindrop collection, which delves into the past to bring a favorite vintage motif into the present. Made fashionable in the 1970s, the fluid forms of fringing are now revisited as Gucci Jewelry breathes new life into this design. Comprising six entirely new pieces crafted from sterling silver, Raindrop features fringing and a rich color palette of stones.
