DELRAY BEACH, FL. (October 7, 2014) – The House of Perna (THoP), a fashion label specializing in 100% US made, ready-to-wear and couture in bold and bright designs, recently opened its collective design space located in the heart of downtown Delray Beach, Florida, in “Artists Alley”. After relocating a portion of the manufacturing operations from New York to Miami early last year, THoP has now identified its Delray Beach location as the next step in the company’s growth and an ideal setting to showcase and sell the brand’s custom lines.
“Our team is thrilled to be a part of the Delray Beach community, as the energy here paired with the unique, ‘beach town’ vibe provides the ideal landscape for our creative drive,” said The House of Perna’s Founder and Lead Designer, Amanda Perna. “We aim to provide an increased awareness that high-quality garments are being made here on US soil, while boosting the local job market. Every bit counts and we want to do our part.”
Amanda Perna is a South Florida native who has appeared on Project Runway Season 9 and designed for Calvin Klein and Oscar de la Renta in New York. The fall 2014 collection blends New York’s architectural lines with the flowing movement and vibrant colors of South Florida.
Also debuting at THoP Delray Beach studio is a new concept: ‘The Design Collective’, where customers may shop not only from THoP line, but also swim, jewelry and accessory lines by other US- based, talented designers whom THoP blends well and supports. “For the first time, our studio space will offer The House of Perna customer a truly custom experience because our Design Studio backs up into the Boutique,” said Solomon Strul, the company’s Director of Sales & Operations. “Now, our customers may come in to shop, get personally fitted for a custom piece by the designer, and watch as their garments are being constructed – all under one roof.”
