The United Way of Broward County’s Women United is hosting the 8th Annual Magnolia Luncheon to recognize women of dignity and perseverance. This event will take place at the Broward County Convention Center. Women United, a branch of United Way of Broward County, is a powerful network of women confronting head-on the most critical issues facing the Broward County community including financial stability, quality early learning, expanding to healthcare and supporting Florida’s veterans. Keynote Speaker Lisa Ling, award-winning journalist, author, and host of CNN’s “This is Life with Lisa Ling”, will attend. A leadership gift amount of $1,000 or more to the United Way of Broward County’s 2018-2019 campaign, plus a $50 fee will gain you access to the day’s events. Donate and participate!

Adopt-A-Family prepares the greens, so bring your cleats out and join the 8th Annual Better Ball Invitational Golf Tournament, benefitting Adopt-A-Family of the Palm Beaches, Inc., at the Jack Nicklaus designed Banyan Cay Resort & Golf to raise critical funds for the organization dedicated to helping families in crisis return to stability. Registration is $500 per player or $1,000 per twosome. This will include cocktails, delicious hors d’oeuvres, a $50 gift card for The Banyan Cay Pro Shop, use of the driving range, plus 18 holes of golf with cart(s) and forecaddie. The day will begin with lunch at noon and the shotgun start at 1:30pm. Then, the evening will conclude with the shootout, cocktails, and an award presentation!

All of the proceeds (100%) will benefit and support the No Kid Hungry campaign’s work to end childhood hunger. HANDY (Helping Abused Neglected Disadvantaged Youth), an award-winning non-profit that provides life skills, education and a supportive community for Broward County children in foster and relative/non-relative care, announced that the 14th Annual Scholars Breakfast will be held in the Crystal Ball Room at the Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina to recognize HANDY’s 2019 Graduating Scholars, Champions of Children, and Legacy Award Winners. You can buy your individual ticket to this event at $75 per person. Let’s celebrate and recognize the winners and graduates! Guests attending will enjoy a fabulous plated breakfast with coffee and tea stations!
