The recently opened restaurant, bar, and lounge, Astra, is home to magnificent rooftop views and tasty Mediterranean-inspired fare. “Astra” means “star” in Greek, tying into the theme of the menu which includes plates like Paidakia, charcoal grilled lamb chops made with Swiss chard and gremolata. The 10,000 sq. ft. rooftop can accommodate seating for more than 200 people and incorporates art by Punk Me Tender. With wooden tones and lots of vegetation, the space gives off a natural, open feel, allowing you to relax with a cocktail and enjoy the Miami sunset.

They say one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, but at Barter Wynwood, one man’s trash might be equal to a round of beers! This unique, entertaining bar just opened back in December, and it brings a whole new concept to a night of drinking. Here you can trade in old items and opt to receive either cash or booze. Upon entry, shelves full of kooky, vintage items adorn the walls, making it a homey space. Brian Diaz of No. 3 Social specially curated the eight cocktails on the menu, and the food is no area that slacks either, with delicious bites like avocado bowls and chicken lollipops!

Kaido, a luxurious, sleek Japanese-inspired cocktail lounge, is the place to go when you desire a night out full of mystery and elegance. This Tokyo-style drinking den serves up innovative cocktails with Asian influences by in-house mixologist, Nico de Soto, like “Majin Booba:” Aged Cachaca, Taro Milk, Wakoucha Syrup, and Tapioca Pearls. Guests are also encouraged to snack while having drinks, and with one look at their menu, you won’t question the decision. Grilled foi gras, dumplings, and “Floridian fugu” (lionfish sashimi) all await your eager taste buds!

With specials every day of the week, this craft kitchen and bar is a favorite among locals and tourists alike. Beer aficionados will be impressed with their rare “Bottles & Cans” section that changes constantly, featuring limited brews like New Belgium Hemperor. They also have a variety of other ways to booze like IPA’s, Belgian Inspired Ales, Layered Drafts, handcrafted cocktails, and more!

Himmarshee Public House may look like a simple bar, but their cocktails are quite the opposite. With over ten craft cocktails that combine fresh ingredients and interesting flavors, you’ll want to grab a seat and try them all (Not recommended though; come on, you have to drive home!). “Pearsecco” gives Prosecco a bolder, fruitier makeover with Absolut Pear vodka, St. Germain, simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice; and a wide variety of beers and wine are also offered for those looking for more casual drinking!

Experimental brewing is what Invasive Species Brewing prides itself on, and with good reason. This brewery switches things up with its five-barrel system that offers 20 rotating drafts! Try creations like Retro Future, or Mo’ Money, Mo’saic, a double dry-hopped IPA with massive amounts of juicy Mosaic. Then head outside to the beer garden, where they have food trucks on the weekend. If you’re in a bit of a rush, they even offer four pack beers to go!
